A New Dental Implant Treatment
THE NOBELGUIDE-PERFECT PLANNING
FOR PERFECT TEETH
The
NobelGuide enables the pre-planned treatment via 3-D computerized
imaging to be transformed into clinical reality, utilizing a customized
surgical template. Dental implants are precisely positioned with the
NobelGuide. The surgical treatment is based on guided keyhole surgery
that is minimally invasive without flaps or sutures. This greatly
reduces discomfort and swelling considerably, as compared to
conventional treatment. At the completion of the implant procedure, the
pre-manufactured dental restoration can be placed, usually in the space
of one hour. The new concept also reduces the number of appointments
resulting in fewer interruptions in everyday life.
The
patient can immediately return to work and social life after the
treatment, since the concept is built on Immediate Function. For many
patients this means a considerable cost savings.
The combination of Immediate Function and the fact that the final restoration
is ready at the time of surgery, radically shortens treatment time, therefore producing- TEETH IN AN HOUR
Once
you learn about dental implants, you will realize, there is a way to
improve your life and replace your missing teeth with titanium tooth
roots, thereby providing teeth that look, feel and function just like
natural teeth, and also restore a feeling of self-confidence.
The
modern concept of dental implants began in 1965 when Dr. Per Ingvar
Branemark placed the first dental implants in Sweden. It was
originally a two-stage procedure, which required 3-6 months of healing,
and two surgical procedures. This led to
the development of the Novum Concept where an entire lower jaw is
treated with only three dental implants and the permanent lower
restoration is completed in the space of one day. This is the “Teeth in
One Day” procedure. Immediate loading of dental implants followed with
the ability to deliver an acrylic restoration for a full mouth in one
day. Surgical modifications including flapless surgery make the entire
procedure quick and easy. The new All- On- 4 enables treatment of many
cases with only four implants per jaw.
The
use of Board Certified Medical Anesthesiologists provide a safe,
monitored environment where the patient is totally relaxed, comfortable
and without any feeling or recollection of the procedure.
Single
teeth to full-mouth treatment can be accomplished in a single day or as
little as one hour. Remember that NOTHING REPLACES EXPERIENCE. Dr.
Howard A. Popper has been in practice 33 years, with more than 20 years
of implant experience with thousands of implants placed, including the
first TEETH IN AN HOUR on Long Island.
The
mouth has a wonderful blood supply, and when the gums become inflamed,
the numerous bacteria that have been making bacterial plaque spill into
the blood stream, which carries them to important organs. If the
bacteria settle in the heart, serious consequences can occur.
Periodontal disease attacks the gums and the bone supporting the teeth
in the jawbones, thereby leading to loss
of teeth. The next phase of treatment consists of scaling, root
planning and curettage, which is essentially cleaning the teeth well,
smoothing the roots and scraping the gums to eliminate the
inflammation. If the periodontal pockets persist then periodontal
surgery should be performed. Receding gums are a frequently overlooked
problem that requires treatment. Periodontal
surgery is often done to improve cosmetics when there is too much gum
tissue in the front area of the mouth when people smile. It is also
done to improve the foundation around dental restorations prior to
crowns and bridges. There have been numerous studies linking
periodontal disease with heart disease, diabetes and low birth weight
babies. Good oral health is a huge step toward a healthier life.
Periodontal disease can be a chronic condition, which requires ongoing
care and monitoring to keep it under control. Professional periodontal
treatment is an investment in the health of your mouth and overall
health and well-being. Maintenance protects your investment. Treatment by a PERIODONTIST can correct this disease.
